The Hand Behind the Craft

Theresa Tayler

Theresa Tayler is a journalist and storyteller behind Where the Crowlands—a living project rooted in London family history, wartime survival stories, and the long shadow of secrecy, identity, and belonging. Drawing on deep archival work and DNA discoveries, she traces the lives and voices that shaped her lineage across places like Spitalfields, Chelsea, and Romford, and asks what happens when the stories we inherit don’t match the truth. Through the Where the Crowlands app, Theresa is building an AI-for-good experience: one that treats memory and ancestry with care, helps people make meaning without exploitation, and uses technology to support healing, context, and honest storytelling. A commission is the other door—each set of workings made by hand, with the same archival care: every one tells you plainly where it comes from, sources named.

Take your time with these. The more you tell me, the truer your workings.

Who these are for

So I can address them to you, and reach you when they're ready.

What you'd like to shift

The heart of it. Start with the three outcomes you most want — then tell me more below.

What you like — and what to leave out

This is how the workings end up feeling like yours and not a stranger's.

A little about your days

Optional, but it helps me fit the workings to a life you'll actually keep.

How your workings will be made. By hand, from documented tradition and my own archival practice — no AI, no machine reading your answers but me. Each of the five ends the honest way every Crowlands working does: tagged DOCUMENTED, IT'S SAID, or INVENTED, with the sources named outright. No predictions. No "love and light." Yours to print and keep.

Secure checkout via Stripe. Your five workings are made by hand and delivered within three business days of payment.
